Submersed: A new Body of Work

I had the Pleasure of Working with Eaton Fine Art Gallery in West Palm to show my most recent body of work. Special thanks to Nichole Hickey, and Maxwell Eaton for Curating and Directing the show, as well as bringing a crowd! Also a special thanks to Gallery owner Timothy Eaton.

I have been in the studio and in the water emersing myself in other worlds,being on and in the water, and research of the oceans, putting the experiences and emotions that come with them onto canvas. The struggles beneath the surface reflect our modern society more than we usually recognize. I have chosen to acknowledge this Conclusion as a truth. We are all animals and our Basic instincts come down to a few certain duties of survival. Just as our civilized race proves. In nature, We all have interesting conflicting qualities.

Towards the end of my time to prepare for the show i decided to switch gears in a direction I had been very intrigued by in recent months. An Anaglyph image is used to provide a stereoscopic 3D effect, when viewed with 2 color glasses (each lens a chromatically opposite color, usually red and cyan). Images are made up of two color layers, superimposed, but offset with respect to each other to produce a depth effect.I hadnt really researched much until a friend of mine sparked the idea again recently. It was a fun project to see how I could get a forced reaction between the viewer and the artwork.Tryptic Anaglyph . 2010
